Kids Culinary Camp - Sample Schedule

DAY 1:  MONDAY - Orientation

  • Introduction to kitchen and safety.  Familiarize with kitchen equipment:  dishwasher, stove, cutting boards, etc.

  • Knife handling and safety.  Chopping skills and techniques

  • Raw food management, bleaching boards, washing hands, wearing latex gloves

  • Proper table settings and good manners

  • Creativity of food and the importance of presentation

  • Different food Cultures; International, Country Cooking

  • Ingredients, Measurements, "Mis en place"

  • Healthy Eating Habits/Nutrition/Organic

  • Methods of cooking; Grilling, Braising, Boiling

  • Fun beverages - Rasberry Lemonade with fresh mint, etc.

DAY 2:  TUESDAY - Wake up Sleepy Head Breakfasts

  • Homemade Granola for Yogurt

  • Art of Muffins

  • Fruit Salad

  • Cheesy Eggs with Ham

  • Smashed Red Potatoes with Olive Oil and Sea Salt

DAY 3:  WEDNESDAY - Ole it's Taco Day!

  • Beef Tacos

  • Cheese Quesadillas

  • Guacamole with homemade tortilla chips

  • Salsa's:  Tomato, Mango

DAY 4:  THURSDAY - When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie that's amore!

  • Cheesy Pizza

  • Broccoli and Garlic Stuffed Bread

  • Pasta and Peas (my kids favorite!)

  • Meatballs

  • Spaghetti with Homemade Sauce

DAY 5:  FRIDAY - Who screams for ice cream?​

  • Chocolate Fondue with Goodies

  • Confetti Crisps

  • Strawberry Shortcake

  • Emeril's Candy Bar Stuffed Baked Apples

  • Best Chocolate Chip Cookies Ever!
